Geotechnical Work - Horseshoe Bay Terminal - February to March 2025
Updated: Monday, March 24, 2025
Geotechnical Work
Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) Terminal
February – March 2025
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure the safe operation of our terminal facilities, we began temporarily rotating one berth closure at our Horseshoe Bay terminal beginning February 24 to conduct geotechnical work in support of future development plans. Work is expected to be completed by the end of March.
The work includes borehole drilling and will continue to take place between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, and overnight between 8:00 pm and 5:30 am. Nearby residents may notice an increase in sound levels during this time; however, our teams will make every effort to minimize noise disruptions.
Customers may experience a slight delay when loading the vessels at Horseshoe Bay due to lane limitations during the ongoing work.
Thank you to our customers and neighbours for your patience and understanding as we complete this necessary project.

Departure Bay Berth Life Extension - January to April 2025
Reposted: Tuesday, March 25, 2025
Berth 1 Life Extension
Departure Bay Terminal
January to April 2025
When we began upgrading Departure Bay Terminal Berth 1 in December, we committed to keeping you informed of any changes to our work schedule.
The project has made significant progress over the past three months. Although we have worked to minimize evening and night work, occasional late-night work may still be required.
Construction will continue Monday to Saturday from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, and on select Sundays, from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Noise levels around the terminal may be higher than normal, and our teams will work to minimize the impact for both our customers and neighbours. It is anticipated that noise levels and work hours will be reduced by mid-April.
We do not expect any impacts to terminal operations and will continue to update this Service Notice should there be any changes to this scheduled project.
Thank you to our customers and neighbours for your patience and understanding as we complete this required work.
