Notice of Night Work
Swartz Bay (Victoria)
November 12 – 29, 2024
When we began upgrading Swartz Bay Terminal Berth 5 in June, we committed to keeping you informed of any changes to our work schedule.
The project has made significant progress over the past few months and efforts have been made to minimize evening and night work. However, to ensure we complete the project on time, and reduce the impact to our neighbours, overnight work will be required.
Night work is currently planned from November 12 – 29 which will involve welding and a concrete pump truck operating within the terminal. Noise levels around the terminal may be higher than normal, and our teams will work to minimize impacts to our neighbours.
The work will occur once a week from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am. The District of North Saanich has approved these hours through bylaw exemptions.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this necessary work.
