Berth 1 Life Extension
Departure Bay Terminal
December 6 to 17, 2024 and
January 5 to March, 2025
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure the safe operation of our terminal facilities, BC Ferries will be carrying out marine construction activities to Berth 1 at the Departure Bay terminal. The project will begin on December 6, and is expected to continue until the end of March, 2025. No work will take place from December 18, 2024 to January 4, 2025.
Construction is planned Monday to Saturday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and select Sundays, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. A minor portion of the work must be completed during low tides outside regular working hours. Noise levels around the terminal may be more noticeable than normal, and our teams will work to minimize the impact for both our customers and neighbours.
We do not expect any impacts to terminal operations and will continue to update this Service Notice should there be any changes to this scheduled work.
