Our 6:15 pm sailing from Sturdies Bay (Galiano Island) – Otter Bay (Pender Island) departed 25 minutes behind schedule due to berth congestion, and the crew taking time to get extra vehicles loaded where possible given today’s heavy volume of traffic. While we always aim to load vehicles as safely and efficiently as possible, higher-than-usual terminal traffic requires us to take extra time loading to ensure that every available space on board is maximized. A “max-load” takes a bit more time, but allows us to accommodate as many passengers as possible on busy days.
We expect that the 7:05 pm departing Otter Bay, the 8:00 pm departing Swartz Bay (Victoria), and the 8:50 pm sailing departing Otter Bay to Village Bay (Mayne Island) will also be delayed.
