Service notice - Sailing Delay
Posted: Friday, September 27, 2024
Issued: 7:47 pm
Our 6:45 pm sailing from Tsawwassen (Vancouver) to Sturdies Bay (Galiano Island) departed 30 minutes behind schedule due to crew taking the time to get extra vehicles loaded where possible given today’s heavy volume of traffic. While we always aim to load vehicles as safely and efficiently as possible, higher-than-usual terminal traffic requires us to take extra time loading to ensure that every available space on board is maximized. A “max-load” takes a bit more time, but allows us to accommodate as many passengers as possible on busy days.
We expect the 7:50 pm departing Sturdies Bay, the 8:35 pm departing Village Bay, and the 9:10 pm departing Sturdies Bay sailings to also be delayed.
We know you have important places to be and apologize for any inconvenience you may experience as a result of this sailing delay. Our crew is doing everything they can to get us back on schedule.
