Posted: Wednesday, October 02, 2024
Temporary Vessel Replacement
Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) – Snug Cove (Bowen Island)
October 15 – December 7, 2024
The Queen of Cumberland will provide service on our Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) – Snug Cove (Bowen Island) route from October 15 to December 7, 2024 while the Queen of Capilano undergoes its annual refit.
As the vehicle capacity on the Queen of Cumberland is lower than the Queen of Capilano (approximately 15 vehicles less), we are offering the following temporary services to help minimize overloads:
Discounted Parking Rates at Horseshoe Bay starting October 11
- Reduced Monthly Rate: $100/month + tax (Bowen Island residents only)
- Reduced Daily Rate: $10/24 hours
Bowen Island residents must register for discounted monthly parking, starting October 8, at our Customer Service desk (located in Horseshoe Bay behind the foot passenger ticket booths) which is open seven days a week from 7:15 am - 9:15 pm.
To take advantage of the discounted monthly rates (good for 30 days from date of purchase), Bowen Island residents will need to provide a valid driver’s license showing a Bowen Island address, in addition to the make, model, and license plate number of the vehicle using the parking pass. Customers must display the registered pass and Impark payment receipt on their dashboard to avoid a parking violation.
Discounts are available in Impark Short Term Parking Lot #1621 and Long Term Parking Lot #1748. Rates are not available online or via mobile apps.
Assured Loading for High Occupancy Vehicles
To encourage carpooling, vehicles with four or more passengers (including the driver) will be provided assured loading on the following weekday sailings from Horseshoe Bay to Snug Cove:
- 4:35 pm departing Horseshoe Bay
- 5:45 pm departing Horseshoe Bay
- 6:50 pm departing Horseshoe Bay
Assured loading will be provided up to a maximum of 10 vehicles per sailing on a first come, first served basis. Vehicles must arrive no later than 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure.
