We are actively following a rapidly intensifying storm that is expected to reach parts of British Columbia’s West Coast by Tuesday, November 19, 2024. The adverse weather conditions may impact travel through Wednesday, November 20.

Travellers are advised to check our Service Notices page prior to travel for any possible service disruptions.

Before applying for support, note:

  • We do not provide travel support for the following types of travel:
    • Conferences
    • Individual travel
    • Fraternity members
    • Groups eligible for provincially-funded social programs and special fares
    • Parents advisory councils
    • Political candidates
    • Political organizations
    • Religious organizations
    • Research
    • United Way (other than BC Ferries' campaign)
    • Youth athletes from coastal BC travelling to participate in competitions leading to provincial and /or national championships
We do provide travel support for initiatives related to environment education, health and sport, and building vibrant communities in coastal BC.
 

Response time

  • Due to the volume of requests we receive, a response may take up to 8 weeks
  • BC Ferries does not respond to letters or telephone calls. All requests must be submitted through our Community Investment online form
  • Requests will be acknowledged in writing or by telephone. All requests will receive a response
