BC Ferries makes Horseshoe Bay terminal customers aware of detours in place for RBC GranFondo Whistler Sept. 10
VICTORIA - The RBC GranFondo Whistler cycling event from downtown Vancouver to Whistler will be held on Saturday, September 10. BC Ferries wants to let its customers know about traffic modifications that will be in effect for motorists travelling through the Horseshoe Bay terminal before 9:30 a.m. on that day.
For customers planning to travel on sailings departing Horseshoe Bay on the morning of Saturday, September 10, please note that the Stanley Park Causeway and Lions Gate Bridge will be closed to northbound traffic from 5:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. During this time, motorists can use the Ironworker’s Memorial Second Narrows Bridge. One southbound lane will remain open on the Lions Gate Bridge and causeway. BC Ferries suggests customers allow enough travel time to arrive at the terminal before the scheduled sailing of their choice.

These impacts will affect the following sailings:
- 6:25 a.m. sailing from Departure Bay
- 6:20 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. sailings from Langdale
- 5:20 a.m., 6:20 a.m., 7:30 a.m. and 8:35 a.m. sailings from Bowen Island
