Highway 99 Reduced Lanes and Closures

As part of the Steveston Interchange Project, the interchange between Steveston Highway and Highway 99 in Vancouver will have temporary reduced lanes and closures on the following weekends starting February 7.

- February 28 – March 3

Customers looking to travel to or from Tsawwassen terminal along that portion of Highway 99 during the noted times will be impacted and should plan accordingly. An overnight detour will be in effect using on and off ramps, however, travellers should be prepared for delays as a result.
Reduced lanes will be in effect Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, with two lanes open in both directions during this time.
Those using transit to Tsawwassen are advised to take earlier bus departures due to the project work. Transit schedules can be found here.
Work is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled should conditions on the weekend be unfavourable. More information on the Steveston Interchange Project can be found on their website here.

Ocean Falls terminal is located on BC’s Central Coast and is 100 km west of Bella Coola. Sailings departing from Ocean Falls provide service to Port Hardy and Prince Rupert with a connector service to Bella Coola, Bella Bella and Shearwater.
Check-in for foot passengers and vehicles closes upon arrival of the ferry.
Route
Bella Coola terminal is located on the central coast of BC and is a 5 minute drive west of the town of Bella Coola.
With a reservation (summer) – Check in at the Bella Coola Co-op parking lot on the south side of 450 MacKenzie Street between 90 to 120 minutes prior to the scheduled sailing departure. Your booking will not be honoured and travel will be based on your order of arrival at the terminal if you arrive before booking check-in has opened, or after booking check-in has closed.
- Booking check-in opens 120 minutes prior to the scheduled departure for foot passengers and vehicles.*
- Booking check-in closes 90 minutes prior to the scheduled departure for foot passengers and vehicles.*
- Booking will be completed in the parking lot by a BC Ferries representative, who will provide instructions for travelling to the ferry for boarding at the appropriate time.
With a reservation (off-peak) – Arrive at the terminal 60 to 90 minutes prior to the scheduled departure. Your booking will not be honoured and travel will be based on your order of arrival at the terminal if you arrive before booking check-in has opened, or after booking check-in has closed.

Without a reservation – tickets can be purchased on board the ferry, space permitting.
Travel is based on your order of arrival at the terminal.
