DAY 1

Metro Vancouver to Sechelt

Start your journey with a scenic sailing past the Howe Sound to Langdale while taking in the breathtaking views of Bowen Island, Gambier Island, and Keats Island. Enjoy a short and scenic 30 minute drive to The Oceanside, A Coast Hotel located directly across from the Davis Bay Beach. Enjoy a delicious meal at the Wobbly Canoe for dinner and take in a stunning sunset on the coast.

DAY 2

Sechelt to the Desolation Sound

Start your morning with a delicious breakfast in Sechelt before driving towards the sḵelh (Earls Cove) ferry terminal. Hop on a short BC Ferries sailing to Powell River, where you will drive the peninsula to Lund. From here, enjoy a covered 45-minute trip on a taxi-style boat through the Homfray Channel to the Desolation Sound. Once arrived you’ll be welcomed with a decadent spread prepared by Klahoose Wilderness Resort. Afterwards, spend your evening relaxing by the campfire area.

DAY 3

Desolation Sound

Enjoy a hearty breakfast prepared by the resort’s chef before you set out on a wilderness adventure today. Travel north into remote Toba Inlet, and depending on the season, head deep into the Homfray Channel on a Wildlife Boat Tour to view marine life, bears and waterfalls in the Desolation Sound (May 11 –  Aug 23), or go on two land based Grizzly Bear Tours in the Desolation Sound (Aug 24 – Oct 15) and watch bears hunt for salmon in their natural habitat along the coastline.

DAY 4

Desolation Sound

Go on a second tour today and choose from cedar weaving, guided kayak tours, Indigenous storytelling, forest walks, or forest and ocean foraging tours. Afterwards, spend the day at your own pace exploring the resort's surroundings. The warm summer tides allow for rich marine life to pop by, and an excellent chance to indulge in the lodge’s complimentary amenities such as kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, swimming by the dock and exploring the nearby walking trails.

DAY 5

Desolation Sound to Sechelt

Enjoy a farewell breakfast at your resort before boarding your taxi-style boat back to Lund. Drive towards Saltery Bay to catch your sailing to sḵelh (Earls Cove), and make sure to stop by seaside towns on your drive down. Once arrived, spend your evening as you please.

DAY 6

Sechelt to Metro Vancouver

Start your day by heading towards the charming town of Gibsons to enjoy a morning stroll by the marina, and see stores, art galleries, and trendy restaurants and cafés lined up along the harbour. Stop for lunch nearby, before heading towards Langdale for your scenic sailing back to Metro Vancouver.
