Keating Cross Road Overpass Project
Victoria to Swartz Bay
July 25, 29 and August 7, 2024
Patricia Bay Highway (Hwy 17) between Victoria and Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island will be temporarily closed from Tanner Road to Island View Road due to the Keating Cross Road Overpass Project during the noted times on the following dates:

Customers looking to travel to or from Swartz Bay terminal during closure times will be impacted and should plan their travel accordingly. A detour will be in effect via Central Saanich Road. Customers should be prepared for a 15-20 minute delay as a result.

Watch grizzly and black bears in their natural habitat as you float down the beautiful Atnarko River and Bella Coola River in the Great Bear Rainforest from the safety of a raft or boat on a four-to-five hour informative and awe-inspiring tour.

Activity policies
Important Tour Info: Guests are required to sign in 15 minutes before the tour time at the Fisheries Pool Campground in Tweedsmuir Park. You are required to drive your own vehicle to the Fisheries Pool Campground (a 35 min drive east from Kynoch Adventures office, just before the city of Stuie).

Requirements: Guests must be 15 year of age or older to take this tour.
While food is not permitted on the raft, guests are allowed to bring water with them.
Please note there are no washroom facilities onboard the raft.
A waiver must be signed prior to participation and any guest between 16 and 19 years of age will have to have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
This tour is 4 to 5 hours in length. It is recommended to bring clothing appropriate for the weather, which may include rain or sun wear (including hats), your own drinking water, sunscreen and bug repellent. Cameras are definitely a must, however tri-pods and flash photography are not permitted.
Please be advised that there is a limit of one small bag (5 kg max) per couple.
