Depart from Coast Marina for an epic 5-hour cultural tour through Homalco traditional territory. Sail through the Salish Sea on a state-of-the-art landing craft vessel with an expert guide to Aupe (Church House), and watch for humpback whales, orcas, porpoises, dolphins and bald eagles along the way. Arrive in Aupe (Church House) and learn about the traditional uses of the land as you walk through a historical village site. Watch this village site come alive as you immerse yourself in Homalco culture.

Tour highlights 

• Learn about the history of Aupe (Church House) and enjoy an interpretive walk around a historical village site.
• Sail across the Salish Sea and see whales, sea lions, porpoises, dolphins, bald eagles and other seabirds flying overhead.
• Take in the scenic views as you depart from Coast Marina and listen to stories about the area from your expert guide.

Activity price includes fuel surcharge, cultural revitalization fee and salmon conservation fee. 

Guests must be 10 years or older and fit enough to walk over uneven ground and rock beach for up to 2km.

Lunch is included in the tour. Please let BC Ferries Vacations know if you have any dietary restrictions. 

Tour Availability: please note a minimum of six participants is required for the tour to take place.  Should there not be enough guests, the tour can be cancelled and a BC Ferries Vacations representative will notify you.

Meeting Location: Coast Marina, 1003 B Island Highway, Campbell River, BC

Guests are to arrive at the meeting location at 7:00am or 1:00pm.
