Victoria to Swartz Bay

July 25, 29 and August 7, 2024

Patricia Bay Highway (Hwy 17) between Victoria and Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island will be temporarily closed from Tanner Road to Island View Road due to the Keating Cross Road Overpass Project during the noted times on the following dates:

Customers looking to travel to or from Swartz Bay terminal during closure times will be impacted and should plan their travel accordingly. A detour will be in effect via Central Saanich Road. Customers should be prepared for a 15-20 minute delay as a result.

DAY 1

Prince Rupert to Tlell via Skidegate

Your adventure begins with a seven-hour journey across the Hecate Strait. Enjoy breathtaking scenery and keep an eye out for coastal wildlife during the sailing.

DAY 2

Tlell

After a delicious breakfast, take a short and scenic drive to the village of Port Clements, and enjoy a 20-minute walk through lush, high green canopy of old-growth forest, or if you're looking for more adventure take the 10 km hike to see the remnants of the 1928 Pesuta Shipwreck.

DAY 3

Tlell

Head to Masset today, the northern gateway to Naikoon Provincial Park. Visit North Beach, which stretches almost 100 km in length. Or, head into Old Massett to take a tour of the 18 totem poles.

DAY 4

Tlell 

Enjoy a relaxing day on the 6.5 acre Haida Gwaii Glamping property. Hang out in the social dome, head out onto the water in complimentary kayaks, and catch sunset on the beach making smores at the firebowl.

DAY 5

Tlell to Prince Rupert via Skidegate

For your last day, fill up on a hearty continental breakfast at Haida Gwaii Glamping Co. before setting sail back to Prince Rupert.
