DAY 1

Prince Rupert to Sandspit

Your adventure begins with a seven-hour voyage across the Hecate Strait to Haida Gwaii. Watch for coastal wildlife on your journey across, and as you approach Skidegate. A second short 20 minute ferry ride from Skidegate to Alliford Bay will take you to Moresby Island. Drive 15 minutes along the coast until you reach Sandspit, and check into your private Fairway Cabin for the evening.

DAY 2

Sandspit

Start your morning with a walk along the beach, just steps out of your accommodation. Afterwards, head to the onsite Clubhouse Restaurant & Cafe for a tasty meal, before heading to enjoy a free round of golf at The Willows Golf Course. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Louise Dover Trail to experience the serene beauty of Haida Gwaii's old-growth forests.

DAY 3

Graham Island 

Make your way to Alliford Bay terminal to take the short 20 minute sailing to Skidegate (Graham Island), the largest Island in the Haida Gwaii archipelago. Start with a stop at the award-winning Haida Heritage Centre at Ḵay Llnagaay to learn about the Haida culture and living history. Afterwards, make your way to the Village of Masset, and if time permits explore Naikoon Provincial Park before returning to Sandspit for the evening.

Sandspit is known as the "Gateway to the Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve and Haida Heritage Site", so it is ideally located to join a tour to explore these renowned heritage sites. Book yourself a guided tour to Ḵuuna Llnagaay (Skedans) where you can see an array of poles in their original locations, meet the Haida watchmen, and keep an eye out for wildlife.

DAY 5

Sandspit to Prince Rupert

On your last day in Haida Gwaii, walk the beach or hike a local trail before boarding a sailing from Alliford Bay to Skidegate, where you will embark on your return journey to Prince Rupert.
