Due to forecasted high winds for the Strait of Georgia and North Vancouver Island, service on multiple routes have been affected on Wednesday, December 25 and Thursday, December 26, 2024.

The safety of our passengers and crew is of primary importance to us. We are continuing to monitor this weather system and will share information as it becomes available.

BC Ferries’ Customer Service Centre hours for the holiday:

  • December 25 – 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
  • December 31 – 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Service Notices will continue to be posted with regular updates provided as needed. Travellers can find our Service Notices posted here.

If you have a booking and your sailing is cancelled due to weather, we will automatically refund your fees and/or fares. Click here for more information about bookings on cancelled sailings. Customers can make changes to their existing booking through bcferries.com or the app.

DAY 1

Vancouver Island to Boston Bar

Depart from Vancouver Island on a scenic sailing across the Georgia Strait. Once you're on the mainland, a picturesque drive awaits. Stop for a walk and a quick lunch in the Fraser Valley, before arriving at REO Rafting Resort in time for a delicious dinner. Spend your first evening in the hot tub, at a campfire, or watching the stars from the deck of your glamping tent.

DAY 2

REO Rafting Resort

Fill up on a home-style breakfast before heading out on a rafting tour. The season and your comfort level will determine which river you will raft down. After, return to the resort to enjoy lunch and relax on your riverside deck. In the afternoon, you can join a yoga session, or relax in the hot tub before heading to dinner.

DAY 3

Boston Bar to Vancouver Island

After a delicious and healthy breakfast, join a guided canyon hike, or hit the road early back to Metro Vancouver. On the way, stop off at popular destinations like Alexandria Bridge Provincial Park, Othello Tunnels, Bridal Veil Falls, or the Hell's Gate Airtram, before boarding your ferry back to Vancouver Island.
