Explore the untamed wilderness of BC's Central Coast on this Tweedsmuir Explorer package. Start your adventure on the shores of Northern Vancouver Island, before taking taking a scenic ferry ride from Port Hardy to Bella Coola, where you will enjoy a 3 night stay at Tweedsmuir Park Lodge.

DAY 1

Metro Vancouver to Courtenay

Adventure begins with a scenic sailing from Metro Vancouver to Vancouver Island onboard BC Ferries. Drive straight to Courtenay, or stop off at Coombs Old Country Market to see goats on the roof and stock up on Billy G's famous donuts!

DAY 2

Courtenay to Port Hardy

Grab a delicious breakfast from one of Courtenay's quaint coffee shops before driving up Northern Vancouver Island to Port Hardy. On the way, stop off at seaside communities like Telegraph Cove, Sayward or Port McNeill.

DAY 3

Port Hardy to Tweedsmuir

Depart from Port Hardy and sail through the fjords and inlets of mid-coast BC before arriving in Bella Coola at the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest. Head to Tweedsmuir Park Lodge, where you will check into your private chalet and enjoy a delicious meal.

DAY 4

Tweedsmuir 

After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, take a river float along the Atnarko River with a knowledgeable tour guide. Keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles, river otters, and a huge variety of birdlife, as well as five species of salmon which call these waters home. Then, in the afternoon after a delicious lunch at the lodge, head out on a guided nature walk to explore the Great Bear Rainforest on foot.

DAY 5

Tweedsmuir Explorations

Take this day to explore Tweedsmuir. The lodge offers many complimentary activities like walks and hikes along the 60 acre property, fishing, mountain biking, frisbee golf, lawn sports, swimming and archery, along with paid options like heli-hiking, and horseback riding.

DAY 6

Tweedsmuir to Williams Lake 

Fill up on one final meal at Tweedsmuir Park Lodge before driving to the charming city of Williams Lake. On the way, stop off at picturesque stops like Nimpo Lake or Tatla Lake to enjoy an afternoon picnic or stroll along the water.

DAY 7

Williams Lake to Whistler

The drive from Williams Lake to Whistler will provide some stunning and diverse scenery. From rolling ranchlands, sprawling canyons and gorges, and sparkling lakes, to old-growth forests and towering mountains. Once in Whistler, stroll around the village, or check out on of the breweries on Whistler's Ale Trail.

DAY 8

Whistler to Metro Vancouver

On the final day of the trip, spend the morning and early afternoon in Whistler before driving the legendary Sea to Sky Highway back to Vancouver. Stop off at stunning locations like Brandywine Falls, Shannon Falls, or Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver before returning home from your adventure.
